Mock-Up Rooms and Sample Approval
Full-scale mock-up rooms are frequently used in luxury hotels, resorts, branded residences, and high-profile developments to confirm the relationship between fixtures, stone, millwork, lighting, waterproofing, plumbing, accessories, and guest interaction.
The mock-up review should be documented. Approved fixture locations, finish samples, installation details, control orientation, trim alignment, service access, and consultant comments should be incorporated into the final submittal and construction record.
Where the mock-up establishes the visual or installation standard for repeated rooms, the approved condition should be photographed, measured, and referenced during procurement and field quality-control inspections.
